Kuniaki Uehara:

Professor
Kuniaki Uehara was born in Kagawa, Japan, on December 18th, 1954. He received
the B.E., M.E. and D.E. degrees in information and computer sciences from Osaka
University, Osaka Japan, in 1978, 1980 and 1984, respectively. From 1984 to 1990,
he was with the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University
as an Assistant Professor. From 1990 to 1997, he was an Associate Professor with
Department of Computer and Systems Engineering of Kobe University. From 1997 to
2002, he was a Professor with the Research Center for Urban Safety and Security
of Kobe University. Currently he is a Professor with Graduate School of Science
and Technology of Kobe University. He is also a Professor with Department of Computer
and Systems Engineering of Kobe University. From 1989 to 1990, he was a visiting
Assistant Professor of Oregon State University
. From 1994 to 1996, he was an Associate Director of Information
Processing Center of Kobe
University . His current research interests include machine learning, natural
language processing, and intelligent software engineering. He is a member of the
Information Processing Society of Japan, Japan Society for Software Science and
Technology, and AAAI..
