This laboratory aims at producing new media based information on computer science and multimedia technology. The field of education and research covers a wide area concerned with the creation and acquisition, storage and retrieval, delivering and applications of multimedia information. For the purpose, we are engaged in educationand research on machine learning and natural language processing. Especially our research interests includereinforcement learning,computational learning technique and data mining from large graph structures. We are also engaged in education and research on theory and practice of video databases (video indexing, video description model, etc.), hypermedia and semistructured database systems(content-based structure discovery etc.), information retrieval and databases for broadcast environment.
